» Sometimes, inspiration hits us designers, and patterns simply come to life. Other times, it stems from a special request. This is one of those designs, that originates from a custom order. A few years ago, my friend Katie requested some baby leg warmers for her son, Nelson, and I gladly crafted them for her. As I was photographing them in my favorite coffee shop, someone asked if they were wrist warmers. I was pleasantly surprised to realize that these little leg warmers fit my arms perfectly, as well! I love a good multi-purpose item! These leg warmers will keep your little ones warm for a few years. Once they outgrow them, you can snag them for yourself as wrist warmers!
» I’ve named it the Taylor Baby Leg Warmers because the design is gender neutral, and they match my Taylor Beanie pattern! They are very stretchy, so it fits infants for a longer amount of time. It’s also such a simple pattern that it’s easily adjustable for whatever you need.
• This is a knitting pattern for beginner knitters
• Designer’s Sample used Caron Simply soft, or a lightweight size 4 yarn
• Designer assumes the user is familiar with knit, purl and knitting in the round.
• Written in standard American knitting instructions (written; not charted).
